My dads golden watch
Keeping this old timepiece, my dad’s golden watch has served him for long years. It’s been his companion through formal and casual meetings, and his only asset that was of value. He was working as a farmer in the province yet he always believes that something gold would make any look special. Looks could also impress clients, he mentions, and that he wears it with any style. However, in time, the gold started to tarnish and the polish soon fades. Whenever my mom and I look at the watch, we would both wish that we could buy a new on for my dad, especially not that father’s day is coming. When we heard about ways to sell old gold, my mom and I went to dad and asked him if he wants a new one in place of his old time piece.
Of course, he hesitated. He loved his old timepiece so much and wasn’t so sure if he could get the money’s worth of that item. We went to many stores that sell jewelry, and had it appraised. When we got our money, me went with my dad to buy a new gold watch. Just right in the time of father’s day, my dad has a new gold timepiece to adorn his wrist, something he could be proud of. He still wears everything with style to date. And now, he wears a gold watch that fits him.
