I think that my husband and I will have to flip a coin to decide where we are going this year on vacation. I really want to go to Kauai and stay at the vacation cottages that I discovered while surfing the web. I love the sand and sun and the Kauai vacation cottages offer that and a quiet retreat.

My husband wants to take a cruise to Alaska. I cannot think of anything that would be more away from what my dream vacation idea is. I will not subject myself to having to wear a coat, a hat and gloves for my relaxing peaceful vacation time that only comes once a year.

If after we flip a coin for the Kauai vacation cottages or the Alaska cruise, and if I lose, then I believe we may be taking separate vacations this year. I know that if I win, my husband will say okay and just go along with the whole sand and sun warm vacation but I am not willing to give up my idea for the cold winter vacation he wants.

No matter where we go, I know that I love him and he loves me. If we go on separate vacations, maybe it will do us some good to have a little alone time doing what we both enjoy. I of course am still planning on crossing my finger when the coin is flipped.
